PAINTING AND COLOURED DRAWING

Classical techniques of painting (tempera, aquarelle and oil painting) used by Jana Vacková are often supplemented by various experimental ideas having inimitable expressions –which is very common in using combined techniques. She works with wood stains, oils are applied directly onto cartoons (drawing paper), colours are applied not only with a paint brush or hands, but also by splashing and spraying.

Jana does not use well-tried techniques, she always works in a new, different way and creates unrepeatable works of arts. She works with the whole colour scale intentionally and if some colouring seems to prevail, it is only for some period of time when working on particular cycle.

In recent years she has been working with bright colours (technicolours) and their high-spirited combinations.
